Street Vendors form an important segment of the economy. Hence to strengthen their role and participation, this component aims at skilling of street vendors, support micro-enterprise development, credit enablement and pro-vending urban planning along with supporting social security options for vulnerable groups such as women, SCs/STs and minorities. So far efforts like Training, Credit support and setting up Infrastructure under the programme have resulted in providing scope for relocation and rehabilitation of livelihood of Street Vendors.
